Car Headlights

VSO has been complaining that the headlights on the car are not very bright.  As eye-sight declines with age, driving at night becomes more difficult (and not just for her), especially if the lights are dim.  The car has about 285,000 miles on it, and the lights are original (as far as we know), so they have been out in the weather a fair amount.  You can buy an entire light unit for about $140, or $280 to replace both of them.  Before spending the money though, I decided to try one of those $15 lens cleaning kits along with a pair of brighter light bulbs ($35).  We'll see.  But it will be nice if we can turn night to day for about $50.
